About ME
My Background
I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a specialization in mathematics from Texas A&M University. I am a 3rd generation teacher with a heart to teach mathematics. While teaching, I obtained my Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. I taught various grades and soon began consulting for schools across the country during the summers. I am currently a full time educational consultant and I have worked independently and for various companies as a consultant and curriculum specialist for the past 28 years.
My Experience
I have presented at numerous NCTM regional conferences, NCTM National conferences, and in Texas at the CAMT conventions. Over the past twenty eight years, I have enjoyed modeling lessons in classrooms across the country. I have had the opportunity to train thousands of teachers and administrators in mathematics throughout the United States. I have extensive knowledge of the Everyday Mathematics program as I have been a trainer for this program since 1998, beginning with edition one of EM.
About Me
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have been married for over 26 years. Our son is a graduate of Texas A&M and currently employed in Houston, while our daughter is currently attending Texas A&M. My family enjoys taking vacations, attending Texas A&M football games, playing board games, and just spending time together.
Services
Trainings for Everyday Mathematics
Initial Training - for those new to the program or with limited exposure. This training will convey the philosophy of EDM, show what a lesson looks like, assessment and differentiation in EDM, an overview of the components and routines within the program, and the basics of the available technology.
Follow-Up Training - for those that have completed an Initial Training or have previous experience with EDM. This training will concentrate on pacing within EDM lessons, assessment and differentiation of the EDM program, and a more in-depth look at the technology.
Customized Training - for school districts/schools that have specific needs that want a training customized. Such trainings can concentrate on the assessment or differentiation in the Everyday Math program.
On Site Modeling of EDM Lessons
I will model EDM lessons on site for teachers in their classroom with their students as they observe. After teaching, I will debrief with the teacher(s) and answer any questions.
Technology Training - Everyday Mathematics
This is an in depth look into the teacher and student technology dashboard of the EDM program. Teachers will learn practical ideas on how to implement the technology in the classroom and for the students at home.

Amy Driesbach started working with Nacogdoches Independent District in 2008 as we began the implementation of Everyday Math. Since Amy previously taught Everyday Math at another Texas public school and had personal experience as a parent with Everyday Math, our teachers felt her input was extremely beneficial.
